I always feared becoming fatally ill. In fact, it got so bad once that I was medicated and threatened to be admitted to the psych ward. After seeing all those complicated raw food recipes with all that fat, spices, and things you can't find in your everyday food market I knew two things. 1) There was no way I was following that raw food diet and 2) It wasn't the way to obtain optimal health. Luckily I find the LFRV lifestyle shortly after. I read "The 80/10/10 Diet" and it changed my life. I started noticing results such as clear, soft skin, strong nails, weight loss and great energy, just to name a few.

There's only two way to get your calories on a raw food diet: Fruit or Fat. Given the choice I picked fruit and I'm so happy I did. Fruit give you energy and makes you want to exercise. You'll get fit, lean, healthy and love your body on fruit. Fat is a different story, while people do loss weight on the high fat raw diet, their body fat% is still high. Instead of providing energy, fat leaves you feeling heavy and not wanting to exercise. To be health you have to be fit!

Get Fit On Fruit and Sleep

Sleep is more important then you my think. While fruit does provide lots of energy, you will not want to get up and exercise in the morning if you don't get enough sleep. The body NEEDS rest and lots of it, no matter how much raw food you eat. When you're sleep that's when your body heals and repairs. If you deprive yourself of sleep you will not feel your best, look your best or achieve optimal health.

Sunlight

Sunlight is also an important part of this lifestyle, its how you get your vitamin D and it just makes you feel good. I like to do my exercise first thing in the morning, while the sun's out, after having about 1/2 a quart of water. This way I'm sure to get my daily dose of vitamin D.

Exercise

Before I found this raw food diet you couldn't pay me to exercise now... you can't pay me to stay put. I never thought I'd enjoy exercising but I do. It doesn't only make me feel good and kick start my day, it also keeps me healthy and my body is changing in way that I'm very excited about.

Water

Water, water, water!! Some think since fruit is so water rich that you don't need extra water on this lifestyle. They couldn't be more wrong. A dehydrated body is a sick, tired body. A dehydrated body cannot digest food properly, eliminate toxins or function properly. I drink enough water so that I'm urinating clear or almost clear 8 to 12 times a day.
